Country Arts SA Information

Country Arts SA Support for the arts handbook - providing information about opportunities for country communities and artists - now available.
Tips for planning an arts project
If you are an artist, community group or organisation with some ideas about undertaking an arts project, there are many grants available to support your project.

You have a much greater chance of success if you consider the following –

    1. Allow plenty of time to plan your project – usually an 18 month time frame will allow for planning, preparing your application/s and undertaking the project.

    2. Think about other organisations or groups who might like to join you in the project and invite them to come along to a planning discussion. Most funding bodies are keen to support applications from organisations who are partnering with others.

    3. Contact your local Country Arts SA arts officer, Kirstie Jamieson – she can assist with project development, finding the right grant for your project and advice regarding grant applications and project budget planning. Kirstie has information about grants from Country Arts SA, Arts SA and Australia Council for the Arts and is available to attend planning meetings and discussions in your town.
